Who are we? The Research Foundation of the Hospital Universitari La Fe is a non-profit organization with the purpose of encouraging, promoting and favouring biomedical research within the Hospital La Fe of Valencia. It is part of the strategic plan of the hospital and its purpose is to transform the research conducted in this hospital in a differentiated product line. By a Framework Agreement with Health Department of the Regional Government of Valencia ( Conselleria de Sanitat de la Generalitat Valenciana ), the Foundation has assumed the entire management of the research conducted at the Hospital La Fe. Nowadays it promotes five priority research areas with an important number of research lines that include projects and clinical trials financed by public organizations (national and from the European Union), private entities and pharmaceutical industry The Foundation was created in 2002 and after its incorporation before a Notary Public the 24th of July of that year, it was registered in the Foundations Register the 10 th of November of 2002. The appointment of its General Director, Professor Dr. José Vicente Castell Ripoll, was held the 10th of February 2003 .
